The Center for Women's Care and Reproductive Surgery is a supportive team offering a complete approach to infertility and advanced reproductive disorders, in addition to general gynecologic care.

 

Our in-office diagnostic equipment enables us to evaluate most gynecologic disorders such as abnormal uterine bleeding without hospitalization and/or D&C. Since procedures such as these can be done on-site, our patients receive the significant benefits of convenience and reduced costs. Diagnostics include:

  • High-resolution vaginal ultrasound for rapid, complete evaluation, read on site by Dr. Lyons for greater accuracy and timely diagnosis.

  • Hysteroscopy for in-office evaluation of abnormal uterine bleeding.

  • Complete laboratory to evaluate endocrinologic abnormalities.

  • Evaluation of urinary stress incontinence with urodynamic testing.

Information is available and we provide care for problems including:

  • Endometriosis

  • Ovarian cysts or masses

  • Urinary stress incontinence or loss of bladder control, in addition to other pelvic relaxation problems

  • Pelvic inflammatory disease (P.I.D.)

  • Uterine fibroids or benign fibroid tumors

  • Ovarian or uterine cancer

  • Infertility or reproductive disorders

  • Adhesive Disease

For endometriosis removal, Dr. Lyons' use of video laparoscopic laser excisional surgery has been shown to be far more effective than just laser removal of the disease visible on the surface. His objective is to remove all endometriosis while preserving a woman's organs.

 

The Laparoscopic Supracervical Hysterectomy (LSH)

The laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy is a laser surgery procedure developed by Dr. Lyons that leaves the woman's cervix intact. The procedure causes less trauma to the patient and leaves the pelvic floor intact as a further deterrent to pelvic prolapse or urinary stress incontinence later on.
